Scope

Design & manufacture a Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) to supply the flow & pressure requirements to open & close 2 x lead lined X-Ray doors.

The project featured

• Fluid: Mineral Oil (ISO32)
• 15kW pump / motor set
• Pump: Double vane pump (63 lpm & 63 lpm / 55 bar)
• 2 x Proportional directional control valves (Cetop 5)
• 1 x Immersion heater (1 kW 415V/3ph/50Hz)
• All filtration is Hydac
